PredictionProbe, Inc. wins U.S. Army RDECOM-ARDEC first ever Probabilistic Technology Support contract of $24.5 million over the next five (5) years.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, October 14, 2007 - PredictionProbe, Inc., the leading edge provider of probabilistic technology software and support services was recently awarded a $24.5 million dollar task order Contract with the U.S. Army RDECOM-ARDEC entitled: Probabilistic Technology Support. This Contract award is the first of its kind to provide a complete array of probabilistic support services over a five year period including software, consulting services, and training and course development to promote the application of probabilistic methods and tools.

Specifics of the Contract Award include: Provision of Software which shall 1) be commercially available and run on a PC using Windows operating systems XP or 2000. 2) Capability of solving a variety of engineering problems using at least eight methods-types (e.g., FORM, SORM, Monte Carlo) and with random variables that are independent, development with correlation coefficients or conditional distributions modeled by using hyperparametric distributions. 3) Capability of determining the most probable point and locating the most probable point of discontinuous and second-order non-differentiable limit-state functions. 4) Adaptable to solving diverse problems using at least 12 most probable point identification methods. 5) Capability of linking with commercially available finite element programs having an interface module for integration with multiple software systems. If required for integration into higher level architectures or enterprise level solutions, newly developing interfaces could be developed under this effort. 6) Possess a feature to measure sensitivity as an adjunct of probability calculations. 7) Possess internal functions for construction of limit state, response models, or predictive models with no computer programming and a minimum of 60 mathematical functions and/or operators. 8) Capability of solving a variety of coherent system reliability problems. 9) Capability of performing probability analysis, inverse probability analysis, CDF/PDF analysis, Bayesian modeling and robust design. 10) Use at least 40 different probability distributions to define random variables.

Bringing probabilistic technology to the forefront has been a long road. PredictionProbe's founders have been partnering with the DOD and U.S. Army for over 14 years providing probabilistic support, training, and software on a task order basis only.

This $24.5 million contract award is by far the largest in scope and dollars, and paves the way for probabilistic technology standards to be implemented throughout the U.S. Army and the DOD.

PredictionProbe, is dedicated to bringing probabilistics to the forefront in the Department of the Army and the DOD. PredictionProbe's probabilistic technology is a disciplined, structured approach to predict, analyze and control risk, reliability, safety, performance, costs, schedule, bottom line and the metrics that impact them by systematically quantifying and analyzing the uncertainties. PredictionProbe, is in a unique position to bring cutting edge technology to the U.S. Army at a critical time in history where time saved through efficient design and production is as important as lives saved. Supporting and protecting our U.S. Soldiers through enhanced weapon and combat capabilities on the frontline is our greatest mission.
